Mr Prof. Dr. med. Peter Angele

After studying Medicine in Ulm, Professor Dr Peter Angele began his training focused on knee surgery as an assistant at sporthopaedicum Straubing. After his fellowship in the United States, he went on to become a Research Assistant and later a Senior Physician at Regensburg University Hospital (Universitätsklinikum Regensburg). He completed his clinical training as a surgeon, trauma surgeon and orthopaedic surgeon. In addition, Professor Dr Angele led clinical and fundamental research in the field of cartilage research and tissue engineering.

Since becoming a partner at sporthopaedicum in Regensburg and in Straubing in April 2008, Professor Dr Angele focused his clinical work on regenerative knee joint treatment and cartilage treatment. He has since become an inpatient physician at Klinik St. Wolfgang in Bad Griesbach.

Since 2010, he has also headed a chair for Regenerative Joint Treatment at the Regensburg University Hospital (Universitätsklinikum Regensburg).
